| Q. Why Should I learn to Fly At Leicester ? |
A. Leicestershire Aero Club is the premier club of the Midlands, with a focused training programme within the Civil Aviation Authority prospectus. Our facilities include 3 tarmac and 2 grass runways, lighting to the main runway for night flying, radio navigation aid on the the field, a modern well maintained fleet of aircraft, dedicated full time and part-time instructors and lecture facilities. A. If you've got your sights set on a career in flying, there are numerous positions available for flying instructors, airline pilots, the RAF etc.. It's hard work and expensive to pay for 'Commercial Flying' training. If you're young enough you may be able to get some sponsorship from a large airline, they pay for your training and in return expect you to work under contract for a fixed term, whilst they re-coup some of their outlay. _________________________ |
