We’re proud to announce that Leicestershire Aero Club has been granted Preferred Training Partner status by British Aerobatics—the UK’s national authority for aerobatic competition flying.
This exciting partnership means Leicester is now an approved training centre for pilots preparing to compete in British aerobatic competitions.
Whether you’re aiming to enter your first Club-level competition or refining your performance at Sports level, we offer expert instruction and access to fully aerobatic-certified aircraft. Training is available in the following areas:
- Club and Sports-level competition preparation
- Evaluator sign-off
- Training towards aerobatic ratings
Once qualified and checked out as an LAC member, you can use our insured aircraft for competition flying. Pilots must hold a valid licence, medical, and aerobatic rating—but don’t worry, training towards these requirements is available onsite.
Our location offers another unique advantage: Leicester boasts an approved competition box overhead the airfield, allowing you to train directly above the club without the cost and time of repositioning to other sites.
For full competition rules, event calendars, and pilot requirements, visit the British Aerobatics website.
